Rainbow Offices

Rainbow Offices is located at Johan Cruijff Boulevard 83-95 and is a multi-tenant office building with several large shops on the ground floor, including a MediaMarkt and a Decathlon. Building
Rainbow Offices was designed by Sjoerd Soeters of PHP Architecten and built between 1997 and 2000 by BAM & Ballast Nedam. To compensate for the area’s existing lack of warmth and definition, the design features a colourful street façade made up of smaller sections. The varying colours combine to form an abstract composition. A distinctive feature is the colourful colonnade, which gives visitors sheltered access to the shops, offices, transport hub and station.

The coloured façade is interrupted by two natural-stone office buildings positioned at right angles to the stadium. These two volumes mark the stadium’s southern entrance and form a square forecourt. The ground-floor building essentially functions as urban infill, filling the space between the stadium and the public realm.

Rainbow Offices is located in the heart of the Amsterdam Zuidoost district. The building enjoys a favourable position on a spacious pedestrian promenade, directly connected to the Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA metro and train station. The area is characterised by a diverse range of offices, shopping at Woonmall Villa ArenA, and entertainment venues such as the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Ziggo Dome, Pathé Arena cinema and AFAS Live. The area is also home to the headquarters of renowned companies such as Deutsche Bank, ING, Cisco Systems, Graydon, De Bijenkorf, Amex and Adidas.

Accessibility
